Iljin Display, one of subsidiaries of Iljin Conglomerate, has established business complex, full of semiconductor and liquid crystal facilities at Pyeongtaek in May, 2001 and has challenged HTPS(High temperature Poly Silicon)TFT-LCD panel business. Since then, we had successfully developed and manufactured 3-LCD panel no more than 1 year, first in Korea and third in the world(Sony, Epson, ILJIN Display). Along with HTPS TFT-LCD business, we have had a good reputation in the area of LiTaO3 wafer, major material of SAW filter which is core part of handset. Now we have been expanding its business coverage to the area of LBO/LN/ Sapphire wafers. In 2007, we are more focusing in the area of Sapphire wafer for Blue LED through the expansion of production facility. With 'Owner mindset, Speed, Communication', we, Iljin Display, aim to be tenacious and performance-oriented organization through Selection and Concentration. Even though we had suffered from many troubles in 3-LCD business so far, we has successfully developed field sequential single-LCD panel first in the world which makes ultra-miniaturization of projector possible. In addition, we were awarded the presidential award in 2006 KES(Korea Electronics Show) for single-LCD panel development and are now becoming a hub of multimedia projection display. Iljin Display is surely creating new value to all parties, users, handset makers, service providers, contents providers by providing enhanced viewing experience through big screen mobile display. Currently, we all clearly realize the restriction of small mobile screen as user interface in spite of rapid evolution of new features of handset, network and contents.
